Pune District Reports 1089 New COVID Cases Today, 1275 Discharged

Pune, 17th June 2021: A total of 1089 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 1275 people were discharged from hospitals. 20 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 10,448 active patients in the district and 6580 of them are admitted in hospitals while 3868 are in home isolation. Out of 1089 new cases, 257 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 212 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 90 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 13 in cantonments and 517 in rural areas.
Among the 20 deaths, eight were in PMC, four in PCMC, two in municipal council (Nagar Parishad), 0ne in Cantonment and five in rural areas. Out of 1275 discharged patients, 284 were in PMC, 202 were in PCMC, 257 in municipal councils, 27 in cantonments and 505 in rural areas.
