Pune District Reports 1115 New COVID Cases Today, 1612 Discharged

Pune, 22 June 2021: A total of 1115 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 1612 people were discharged from hospitals. 23 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

 

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8299 active patients in the district and 5264 of them are admitted in hospitals while 3035 are in home isolation. Out of 1115 new cases, 220 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 194 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 98 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 18 in cantonments and 585 in rural areas.

 

Among the 23 deaths, five were in PMC, four in PCMC, four in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad),  and ten in rural areas. Out of 1612 discharged patients, 331 were in PMC, 485 were in PCMC, 58 in municipal councils, 11 in cantonments, and 727 in rural areas.
