Pune District Reports 1187 New COVID Cases Today, 1766 Discharged
Pune, 16th June 2021: A total of 1187 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 1766 people were discharged from hospitals. 22 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 10,654 active patients in the district and 6500 of them are admitted in hospitals while 4154 are in home isolation. Out of 1187 new cases, 295 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 237 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 101 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 23 in cantonments and 531 in rural areas.
Among the 22 deaths, nine were in PMC, five in PCMC, 0ne in Cantonment and seven in rural areas. Out of 1766 discharged patients, 321 were in PMC, 476 were in PCMC, 262 in municipal councils, 19 in cantonments and 688 in rural areas.
