Pune District Reports 1199 New COVID Cases Today, 984 Discharged

Pune, 22 June 2021: A total of 1199 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 984 people were discharged from hospitals. 21 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

 

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8493 active patients in the district and 5499 of them are admitted in hospitals while 2994 are in home isolation. Out of 1199 new cases, 283 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 241 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 111 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 9 in cantonments and 15 in rural areas.

 

Among the 21 deaths, seven were in PMC, three in PCMC, three in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad),  and eight in rural areas. Out of 984 discharged patients, 255 were in PMC, 94 were in PCMC, 64 in municipal councils, 4 in cantonments, and 567  in rural areas.
