Many students studying at the medical college are serving patients at home and abroad as specialist doctors. Many dignitaries, including the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, have been treated at Sassoon Hospital. Even amid the COVID-19 pandemic, several have been treated at this hospital and have recovered. Sassoon Hospital and BJ Medical College have become our backbone.”

“These organizations are government institutions. They work intending to care for patients and social service. During the COVID-19 period, many patients were admitted to private hospitals for the first time for treatment but later were transferred to Sassoon Hospital for better treatment. It is believed that Sassoon offers better state-of-the-art treatment and care than any other private hospital. Many patients come here in critical condition. The hospital has saved the lives of many of them,” he added.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar appealed to the college to continue the work of creating a state-of-the-art treatment system, quality patient care, and expert doctors for society.

State Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh said, “BJ Medical College has a glorious history. Even amid the COVID-19 crisis, it has maintained its history and status. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is always ready to sort out the issues at the Medical Education Department, including medical colleges.
