Pune District Reports 1205 New COVID Cases Today, 1605 Discharged

Pune, 19th June 2021: A total of 1205 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 1605 people were discharged from hospitals. 18 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9736 active patients in the district and 6135 of them are admitted in hospitals while 3601 are in home isolation. Out of 1205 new cases, 211 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 220 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 113 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 4 in cantonments and 657 in rural areas.

Among the 18 deaths, eight were in PMC, four in PCMC,  and six in rural areas. Out of 1605 discharged patients, 302 were in PMC, 235 were in PCMC, 139 in municipal councils, 19 in cantonments and 910 in rural areas.
