Pune District Reports 1228 New COVID Cases Today, 2236 Discharged

Pune, 13th June 2021: A total of 1228 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 2236 people were discharged from hospitals. 20 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 12,590 active patients in the district and 7796 of them are admitted in hospitals while 4794 are in home isolation. Out of 1228 new cases, 242 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 219 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 115 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 19 in cantonments and 633 in rural areas.
Among the 20 deaths, nine were in PMC, six in PCMC, two in municipal councils and three in rural areas. Out of 2236 discharged patients, 388 were in PMC, 426 were in PCMC, 246 in municipal councils, 24 in cantonments and 1152 in rural areas.
