Pune, 20th March 2025: The voter lists across all constituencies in Pune district will undergo revisions to eliminate duplicate names, remove deceased voters, and update records of those who have permanently relocated. The district administration has assured that the process will be conducted with full transparency.

District Collector Jitendra Dudi stated that efforts will be made to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the voter lists. Booth-level officers (BLOs) will verify the lists to remove instances where a voter’s name appears in multiple locations, ensuring it is listed under only one constituency.

To eliminate the names of deceased voters, the administration will obtain death records from gram panchayats, municipal councils, and municipal corporations. Based on these records, the voter lists will be updated accordingly.
