Pimpri, 20th March 2025: A tragic bus fire in Hinjawadi IT Park claimed the lives of several workers, leaving survivors traumatized. Vitthal Dighe, one of the few who escaped, recounted the harrowing experience, saying, “I saw my death before my eyes.”

Dighe, who has been working as a storekeeper at Vyom Graphics since 2010, was among the employees commuting on the company bus daily. On Wednesday (19th March) morning, as the bus approached the company, just half a kilometer away, it suddenly caught fire. The driver jumped out of the vehicle as flames erupted from the cabin. Moments later, the bus crashed into a road divider and became engulfed in flames.

Realizing the danger, Dighe and his colleagues rushed toward the front door and leapt out. Some injured passengers followed, running for their lives. Within moments, the entire bus was consumed by fire.

“The screams of my colleagues crying for help still echo in my ears. I saw them pleading for their lives, but there was nothing I could do. Their cries fell silent as the fire devoured the bus,” Dighe said, overcome with grief.

The bodies of the deceased workers were taken to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in Pimpri. The police summoned the victims’ relatives for identification. In a heart-wrenching scene, Subhash Bhosale’s brother broke down upon seeing his sibling’s charred face in the morgue.
