Pune Division Announces Train Cancellations and Rescheduling Due To Doubling Work On Daund-Manmad And Sangli-Miraj Sections

Pune, 19th January 2024: In a move aimed at enhancing railway infrastructure, the Pune Division of Central Railway has announced a traffic block for doubling work on the Sangli-Miraj section and the Daund-Manmad section. The traffic block is necessary to facilitate track doubling and various engineering and signaling works. However, the undertaking will affect the schedules of some trains, and passengers are urged to take note of the changes.

Canceled Trains:
1. Train No. 01023 Pune – Kolhapur Express special scheduled to depart on January 20, 2024, stands cancelled.
2. Train No. 12781 Mysore – Hazrat Nizamuddin Express departing from Mysore on January 19, 2024, is also cancelled.

Rescheduled Departure Timings:
1. Train No. 12221 Pune-Howrah Duronto Express, originally departing on January 20, 2024, will now leave Pune at 16:45 hrs instead of the regular departure time of 15:15 hrs, resulting in a delay of 01:30 hours.
2. Train No. 22845 Pune – Hatia Express, set to depart from Pune on January 21, 2024, will now depart at 14:45 hrs instead of 10:45 hrs, causing a delay of four hours.
3. Train No. 11026 Pune- Amravati Express, slated to depart on January 21, 2024, will leave Pune at 15:05 hrs instead of the usual departure time of 11:05 hrs, experiencing a delay of four hours.

Regulated Trains:
1. Train No. 12780 leaving Hazrat Nizamuddin on January 20 will be regulated for three hours in the Hazrat Nizamuddin – Vasco Goa Express section.
2. Train No. 22171 departing from Pune on January 21 will be regulated for one hour in the Pune – Rani Kamalapati Express section.

These planned mega blocks are essential for doubling, infrastructure maintenance, and security. While the railway administration acknowledges the inconvenience caused to passengers, it emphasizes the necessity of these measures for the overall improvement of the railway network. Passengers are requested to bear with the railway administration during this period of disruption.
