Pune: Documents Stolen From Police Megacity Society Office, FIR Registered

Pune, 17th November 2022: A case has been registered by Yerwada police station in connection with theft of files and documents from the office of the Police Megacity Co-operative Housing Society, which was started so that policemen from across the Maharashtra state can get a house in Pune, which is the ‘IT City’ and the police can also get a good quality house.

 

Since the election of this society has been announced, accusations have started. An administrator has been appointed to this society for the last eight months. This project worth around Rs 800 crores is stalled and the construction is also incomplete. Therefore, the overall picture of this project is a complete mess.

 

The name of the retired police inspector who registered the case is Mohammad Rafi Chandsaab Khan. A case has been registered against two women – Sunanda Sudhir Modak and Sarita Vasudev Vyavaye. Administrator Dnyaneshwar Tekwade has filed a complaint in this matter.

 

 

Both Modak and Vivasya work in the office of the police megacity. According to the information from the police, the idea of constructing a housing project for the police on 38 acres of 116 acres of land at Lohegaon-Wadgaon Shinde road in Pune city came forward.

 

BE Bilimoria, a construction company, had 116 acres of land there. The project was to be set up on 38 acres of land for the police and 38 acres of land for construction professionals. The remaining space is reserved for amenities and roads. This project was to be implemented for the police under cross-subsidy. Membership registration for this project started generally in 2010-11. About 5,220 police officers and police personnel registered by paying money.
