Hinjawadi, 11th May 2022: A man killed his wife in the Pimpri Chinchwad after coming home drunk. Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested the accused on the murder charge.
Shivam Pankaj Pachauri alias Bhardwaj (22) is the name of the arrested accused. Avantika Sharma (30) is the name of the deceased woman.
Avantika’s father Ranjan Kumar Sharma (60), a resident of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh has filed an FIR at Hinjawadi Police Station. Accordingly, Shivam Pachauri, a resident of Maangaon has been arrested. The incident took place at around 11.30 pm on Thursday (June 9).
According to the information given by the police, deceased Avantika and accused Shivam were working as engineers in an IT company.
Accused Shivam came home drunk on Thursday night. His wife Avantika questioned him and asked the reason for drinking. This led to an argument between the two. In a fit of rage, the accused brutally beat his wife. The seriously injured wife died.
Further investigation is being conducted by Police Sub Inspector Mahendra Gadhve.
