Pune: Education Department Whips Seven Schools Over Stalling Students’ Education

Pune, October 23, 2020: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) education department and Zilla Parishad has sent notices to seven schools for stalling the education of students over non-payment of the fees. These schools had stopped giving the link for the online classes to the students who have failed to pay the fees.

Although physical schools are shut due to COVID pandemic, online education is going on. There were several complaints from the parents and parents’ organization regarding stalling of the education over non-payment of fees.

Pune parents association and a few other organizations met primary education officer Meenakshi Raut and Pune Zilla Parishad education officer Sunil Kurhade after which the notices were sent to seven schools – Prestige Public School in Shivne, Orchids International School in Undri, Rosary School in Camp, Millennium National School in Karvenagar, MIT’s Vishwashanti Gurukul School in Kothrud and Pius Memorial High School in Chakan.
