Pune: Firecracker Stalls Outside City Limits, Like Last Year
Pune, October 24, 2020: As the festival of lights is a few weeks away, the firecracker stalls will be permitted outside the city limits. The stalls start coming up after Dussera as people start buying the firecrackers.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) like last year has given permission to erect the stalls but not within the city limits.
Earlier, the stalls would be erected near Mhatre bridge or DP road, but since last year PMC has discontinued it owing to safety reasons. “There was a demand from the firecracker association to give permission for the stalls but it has been denied”, said PMC’s Additional Municipal Commissioner (Special) Dr Shantanu Goyal.
