Pune: Elderly Woman Brutally Attacked During Morning Walk, Dies During Treatment
Pune, 4th June 2022: A 65-year-old woman was attacked brutally while she went for a walk in the morning. She was rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment at Nighoje village in Khed Taluka of Pune district.
The attacked woman has been identified as Tanhabai Baban Yelwande (65), resident of Nighoje, Khed.
On Thursday at around 5 am, while on a walk on Mohi Road, Tanhabai Yelwande was attacked brutally by an unknown assailant. She was rushed to a private hospital in a very critical condition. However, Tanhabai could not be saved from the injuries she suffered during the attack and died on Friday (3rd June) while undergoing treatment.
Mahalunge police station (under Pimpri Chinchwad police) said that a case of murder has been registered in this regard. Meanwhile, police have received some CCTV footage of the incident and further investigation is underway to catch the assailant.
