Pune: Elderly Woman Cheated Of Rs 25,000 On Pretext Of Getting Gold Biscuits In Return Of Gold Ornaments
Hadapsar, 9th November 2022: Thieves stole jewellery worth 25,000 from an elderly woman on the pretext of giving an elderly woman heavy gold biscuits. This incident took place on Monday (November 7) at around 9.00 am in the Sade Satra Nali area of Hadapsar.
The complainant, an elderly woman, was staying in the Sade Satra Nali area in Hadapsar. At that time, two thieves came to her and started talking. After gaining her trust, they asked her for her gold ornaments on the pretext of giving heavy gold biscuits in return.
Lured by the bait, the woman gave Rs 25,000 worth of jewels to the thieves. Police sub-inspector Digambar Sontakke is investigating the matter further.
