Pune: Woman Died By Suicide In Khadakwasla Dam; Police Expresses Possibility Of Family Dispute
Pune, 9th November 2022: A woman died by suicide in Khadakwasla Dam. The police have expressed the possibility that the woman died by suicide due to a family dispute. The name of the deceased woman is Sarika Sandipan Wakure (29), a resident of Ekta Colony, Uttam Nagar, a native of Hingjalwadi, district Osmanabad.
Some vendors informed the Haveli police today (November 9) morning that a woman’s body was floating in the water near Chowpatty in the Khadakwasla Dam area. After that, police personnel Ashok Taru, and Mahesh Kamble of Haveli police station rushed to the spot.
The police pulled the body out of the water and inspected the incident site. Then the bag was found at some distance near the pump house where police found the identity card of Sarika Wakure. The police contacted the mobile number written on a note kept in the bag and relatives were informed about the incident.
The police have expressed the possibility that Wakure may have died by suicide due to a family dispute. A case of sudden death has been registered in Haveli police station in this case. The investigation is being conducted under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Sadashiv Shelar.
