Pune: Elderly Woman Murdered For Ornaments, Accused Watchman Absconding
Katraj, 14th July 2022: A 65-year-old woman was strangled to death in the Katraj area and valuables including some jewellery are missing from her house.
The deceased woman has been identified as Parubai Kisan Sawant (65), who lived near Maneka Stone Company, Bhilarewadi, Katraj. In this case, her brother Shahaji Maruti Chandanshive (60), a resident of Bhilarewadi, Katraj has filed a complaint at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.
Police have booked Sukha Binda who worked as a watchman at a building there.
According to police, Shahaji Chandanshive and Parubai Sawant live next door. Parubai was living alone by doing some daily wage work. Accused Sukha Binda was working as a watchman. He killed Parubai by strangling her and decamped with the valuables.
The incident took place between 7 pm on July 11 to 9 am on July 12.
After getting information about this incident, the police started an investigation. Accused Sukha Binda and his wife are absconding. Police Inspector Sangeeta Yadav is investigating the case further.
