Pune: Electricity Bill Payment Centre Closed In Kalyaninagar, Senior Citizens Upset
Kalyaninagar, 21st July 2022: The electricity bill payment centre at Kalyaninagar has been closed for the last one and a half months. Due to this, the senior citizens along with the women are suffering a lot.
There are a large number of senior citizens living in Kalyaninagar. The electricity bill payment centre under the MSEDCL’s divisional office here has been running regularly for the past several years. It was suddenly closed from June 1.
A notice has been placed outside stating that the bill payment centre is closed and citizens have to visit Shastri Nagar centre to pay the bill. However, citizens say that the Shastri Nagar centre is very crowded. Also, there is no space to park the vehicle. Senior citizens have to suffer a lot to cross Shastri Nagar Chowk.
In this regard, the president of Vithalrao Vandekar Foundation, Dhairyasheel Vandekar, has written to the Chief Engineer of MSEDCL and demanded to start the electricity bill payment centre at Kalyaninagar.
“A new organization has been given the task to start this centre. The electricity bill payment centre will start next week,” informed SM Sonawane, Deputy Manager, MSEDCL.
