Eligible Students Should Apply For Scholarships Through MahaDBT Website

Pune, 25th January 2022: “Subsistence allowance for students pursuing various scholarships as well as vocational courses offered under the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance as well as other Backward Classes for the academic year 2021-22 are available online at https://mahadbtmahait.gov.in till 31st January 2022″, informed Sangita Davkhar, Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare.

“The Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance provides benefits of Government of India scholarship, tuition fee, examination fee reimbursement, Rajshri Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship, and subsistence allowance scheme. For this, students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Nomadic Tribes, Special Backward Classes, and Other Backward Classes should submit their applications to the college online as well as offline (written application in prescribed format)”, she further said.

Orders were given to all the colleges in the district about scrutinizing and submitting applications of all the students who are eligible for scholarships to the department.

“Care should be taken to ensure that no eligible backward class student entering the college is deprived of the scholarship. If the application is not submitted within the stipulated time and therefore a deserving backward class student is deprived of the scholarship, the Department of Social Justice will not be responsible for it”, she added.
