Pune: Anzar Rade, a Pune-based engineer and long-time social worker, has been awarded a Certificate of Participation by World Record of Excellence, England, for his contribution to a remarkable marathon singing event.

eThough not a professional singer, Rade pursues music out of deep passion. His participation in the unique musical initiative highlights how dedication and enthusiasm can transcend professional boundaries.

The certificate recognises his role in a non-stop singing marathon that featured 575 Marathi and Hindi Bollywood songs, performed continuously for 51 hours and 56 minutes. The event brought together 115 singers, showcasing extraordinary endurance and coordination.

The marathon began on October 25, 2025, at 8:11 a.m., and concluded successfully on October 27, 2025, at 12:07 p.m. It was conducted under the leadership of senior Marathi television actress Pushpa Pradip Chaudhari and organised by Swamini Academy at VP Music Studio in Pune.

ccording to the certificate citation, the participants collectively delivered uninterrupted performances, demonstrating remarkable commitment to music. Rade’s involvement was acknowledged as an integral part of this team effort that achieved the extended-duration milestone.

The certificate, issued on November 2, 2025, bears the signature of Henry R., President of World Record of Excellence, Europe, reflecting the international recognition accorded to the performers.

Speaking about the experience, Rade said, “I am not a professional singer—music is my passion. Being part of such a long and challenging event was truly memorable. Singing alongside so many talented participants was both inspiring and fulfilling.”

Apart from his musical interest, Rade is an engineer by profession and has been actively involved in social work in Pune for several years, contributing to community initiatives and support activities.

The event brought together singers from diverse backgrounds and celebrated Marathi and Hindi film music across generations. Organisers noted that the initiative aimed to promote musical culture and encourage collaborative artistic expression.
