Pune: EPFO Holds District Outreach Program to Enhance Members’ Experience

Akurdi, 27th June 2023: The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) recently organized a District Outreach Program as part of the NIDHI AAPKE NIKAT 2.0 initiative. The event, which took place on June 27, 2023, at M/s Tetra Pak India Private Ltd. in Pune, aimed to improve the living conditions of establishments covered under the EPF & MP Act, 1952, including newly covered ones, across all districts.

 

During the program, participants received valuable information on various PF and Pension-related matters. These included grievance filing and resolution mechanisms, fraud prevention, DSC registration, form 5A updates, E-nomination procedures, contractor/principal employer updates on PE portal, DLC updates, and the online claims process for Form 10D, EDLI, Form 20 (death case), final withdrawal, and transfers. Attendees were encouraged to raise any queries or concerns related to PF during the event.

 

The Regional PF Commissioner-II, emphasized the importance of safeguarding UAN details, OTPs, and other financial information, advising all stakeholders, pensioners, and subscribers to refrain from sharing such sensitive data with anyone.

 

A special session on higher wages pensions was conducted by the Account Officer (Pension), focusing on joint option filling procedures, applicability, calculation methods, and guidelines for employers to upload wage details using different formats. Attendees had the opportunity to have their queries, doubts, and issues related to higher wages pensions addressed through informative Power Point presentations and a detailed calculation sheet.

 

Throughout the program, prompt resolutions were provided for any queries or grievances raised by pensioners, subscribers, or stakeholders. Any outstanding issues that required further assistance or information were duly registered and are currently being addressed by the relevant departments.

 

In adherence to the guidelines from the Head Office in New Delhi, the Director of ESIC Pune Zone was invited to participate in the program. This initiative aimed to provide workers and beneficiaries with a convenient platform to address their grievances promptly and under a single roof.

 

The program was organized under the guidance of the Regional PF Commissioner-I, with support from the Regional PF Commissioner-II, Nodal Officer, Enforcement Officer, Account Officer (Pension), and other officials from the Akurdi Office. Representatives from the Federation of Chakan Industries Pune, including its members, commended EPFO Akurdi for their efforts in efficiently addressing the grievances of PF subscribers. They expressed their gratitude for the organization’s commitment to providing enhanced services to subscribers, stakeholders, and pensioners. Representatives from Tetra Pak India Pvt Ltd also attended the event and expressed their appreciation.
