Pune: Erandwane Residents Alarmed by Poor Quality Drainage Work on Karve Road

Erandwane, 11th May 2024: The stormy rain water exposed the shoddy work of the drainage line pipe installation project near Amrut Mitra Mandal at Karve Road on Friday. The concrete surface was found caved in at many places.

Now, concerns have been raised regarding the safety of citizens due to the completion of the work without proper measures in place.

Prashant Velankar, speaking on behalf of the Erandwane Public Ganeshotsav Mandal, emphasized the urgency for the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to take immediate action against the contractor responsible for the project. Velankar highlighted the potential danger posed to pedestrians and motorists traversing the area, citing the completed work’s lack of adherence to safety standards.

Velankar stated, “There is a demand that the PMC should take immediate action against the contractor who is doing the work because there is a danger to the citizens who are going and traveling by car.”
