Pune Eves Enter Final Down Host’s Nashik 2-0 In Semis

Pune, 17 May 2020: Pune got past the challenge of home side Nashik 2-0 to enter the final of the Under-17 District Girls Championship at Minatai Thakre Stadium, Nashik.

On Tuesday, Pune struck once in each half to settle the issue.

Pune opened their scoring when Roshni Pandit (23rd) gave them the lead and end the first half in their favour. Resuming after the break Pune added another through skipper Poorva Gaikwad (38th) and sign off the day on a high.

Pune will now take on Kolhapur in the summit clash. Kolhapur won their semi-final against Mumbai 2-0.

Earlier, Pune defeated Thane 1-0 in the quarterfinals and Hingoli 8-0 in the first round.
