Pune, 25th June 2023: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) unveiled its much-awaited Tourism Bus Service No. 6, providing a remarkable opportunity for tourists to explore the city’s attractions. The inauguration ceremony took place at Pune Station, witnessed by esteemed guests, including Satish Gavhane, Chief Transport Manager (Operations) of PMPML, and Sanjay Kusalkar, Manager of Pune Station Depot.

 

The introduction of this short-term tourism service has generated immense excitement among travelers, as it caters to their preferences by operating on weekends and public holidays. The inaugural day saw 24 enthusiastic tourists embarking on their journey.

 

Under the visionary leadership of Om Prakash Bakoria, Chairman, and Prajna Potdar-Pawar, Deputy Executive Director, PMPML has meticulously planned seven tourist bus routes that encompass Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities, emphasizing religious and tourist hotspots. The exclusively curated “Tourism Buses” offer their services every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday since May 1, 2023. The affordable ticket price for this remarkable travel experience is set at INR 500 per passenger.

 

Expressing his views on the occasion, Satish Gavhane, Chief Transport Manager (Operations), highlighted the significance of this cost-effective and eco-friendly tourism bus service. He urged devotees, pilgrims, and tourists to take full advantage of this convenient transportation option, enhancing their travel experiences.

 

Route and Timings of Tourism Bus Service No. 6:

 

Commencing from Pune Station, the bus traverses through Vageshwari Temple (Wagholi), Wadgaon Bolhai, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Samadhi Mandir (Wadhu Budruk), Ranjangaon Ganpati, and concludes back at Pune Station. The bus departs at 09:00 AM and arrives at 05:30 PM, with Pune Station serving as both the first and last stop.

 

To facilitate easy access to booking facilities, PMPML has established multiple locations, including Deccan Gymkhana, Pune Station, Swargate, Katraj, Hadapsar Gadital, Bhosari Bus Stand, Nigdi, and Manapa Bhavan (Centers of the Mahamandal).
