Pune: Fake Doctor Involved In Running Homeopathy Clinics In Vimannagar And Kharadi Arrested
Pune 14th Oct 2023: The Pune City Police have booked a person for running three homeopathy clinics in Vimannagar and Kharadi areas despite not having any valid qualification and registration. The issue came to light after the Pune Municipal Corporation lodged a complaint with police in the matter.
According to the police, the accused identified as Chaitali Sunil Bagul, a resident of Kalyan was running these clinics in the city between 2017 and 2020. She did not have homeopathy qualification or registration with the Maharashtra Council of Homeopathy. The PMC officials also found that she was not working anywhere now.
A case under sections 33(2) of the MMP-Act has been registered at the Yerawada Police Station in the case. The police are investigating further. The officials from the heath department of the municipal corporation urged the citizens to confirm the validity of such doctors before taking treatment or visiting them. The officials said that any doctor running such a clinic should have mandatory qualification and registration with the concerned department. Any such hospital running without valid registration or qualification will face similar action, said officials.
