Military Intelligence And Pune Police Nab 11 Bangladeshi Nationals For Illegal Stay From Devachi Uruli

Pune 14th Oct 2023: In a joint operation with the Military Intelligence wing of the Southern Command of the Indian Army, the Pune City Police have detained 11 Bangladeshi nationals including some children for illegal stay in India and forging documents to make Aadhar Card and other documents to continue their stay in India. A case under relevant sections has been registered at Hadapsar Police Station in the matter.

According to the complaint registered with the police, the accused had forged documents to make Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Voting Card etc, to continue their stay in India. They were residing in the Uruli Devachi area of the city. The investigation revealed that the accused were not holding any valid passport and Visa to stay in India.

The arrested accused have been identified as Nizam Rahim Ali Shekhe, Babu Mohsin Mondal, Kamrul Roshan Mondal, Sagal Alam Shaikh, Mazma Babu Mondal, Mariam Kamrul Mondal, Alam Shaikh and Shahnoon Alam Shaikh. Besides, the police have also detained three minors aged 8 years, 6 year and 3 year in the matter.

A case under sections 420, 465, 467, 468 and 470 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with section 3 of the Passport Act and other relevant sections of the Foreigners Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
