Pune, 29th November 2022: A fake Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) has been caught while collecting money from passengers in train number 17318 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Hubli Express on Monday (November 28) night between Pune and Karad.

Due to the vigilance and understanding of Miraj ticket inspector YK Vaishnav, BM Shaikh, and PS Ghadge, the person was handed over to the police.

On the departure of the train from Pune station, the ticket inspector posted on duty in the train, YK Vaishnav, was told by some passengers that a suspicious person in the coach was checking their tickets and was pressurizing them to give him money.

On getting this information, Vaishnav immediately, with the help of his associates Shaikh and Ghadge, nabbed the suspect without wasting any time and informed the control room about it. The concerned person was handed over to GRP at Karad station, and action was taken by registering an FIR against him.

Dr Milind Hirve, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Pune Railway Division, has requested the passengers to help the Railways in preventing illegal activities by immediately giving information about ticket checking and recovery by any suspicious person during the journey to the railway personnel available there.
