Pune: Jewellery Worth Rs 2.5 Lakh Stolen From Woman With Lure Of Gift Boxes
Katraj, 29th November 2022: Jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakhs was stolen from an elderly woman, in the Ambegaon Budruk area of Katraj area, with the lure of a gift. The woman has filed a complaint at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station.
The complainant woman is residing in the Ambegaon Budruk area. The thief came to her pretending to be from the courier company. He told the woman that gift boxes had been sent to her son. The thief took the woman out of the house saying she would have to sign the receipt for the gift boxes.
While talking to the woman and keeping her distracted, the thief took away eight tolas worth of gold ornaments from her. Police sub-inspector Bhosale is investigating the case further.
