Pimpri-Chinchwad, 20th July 2025: An armed gang of five unidentified robbers looted gold and silver jewellery worth ₹6.5 lakh from a bungalow in the upscale Nigdi Pradhikaran area on Saturday night. The robbery, carried out at gunpoint, left the residents shaken but fortunately unharmed.

The incident took place around 9 pm when the gang stormed into the bungalow. They overpowered the caretaker and his family, restraining them with cello tape over their mouths, hands, and feet, and locked them in a back room. The bungalow owner was also tied up in a separate room on the first floor.

The assailants then ransacked the house and broke open a cupboard to steal gold and silver ornaments. The crime came to light when the bungalow owner managed to reach the balcony and screamed for help, alerting nearby residents.

Local citizens immediately informed the police, but by the time authorities arrived, the robbers had fled the scene. Police teams have launched a search operation and are examining CCTV footage from the area.
