Pune: Famous Cardiologist Dr Yogesh Gurjar Killed In Accident
Shukrawar Peth, 20th October 2021: Famous doctor Yogesh Gurjar (62) of Subhashnagar in Shukrawar Peth, who was hit by a two-wheeler, succumbed to injuries during treatment.
The accident took place on October 15 at around 9.45 am in Madiwale Colony area.
Pune police have arrested Arjun Singh Devisingh Rathod (28), resident of Ghorpadi Peth, for rash and negligent driving.
According to police, Dr Gurjar was a cardiologist. He was riding a two-wheeler from Swami Samarth Math side in Madiwale Colony. Rathore, who came on a two-wheeler in front, hit him. Dr Gurjar had serious head injuries. He died during treatment. Later Rathore was arrested. Assistant Inspector of Police NB Sawant is investigating.
Dr Gurjar had practised with the famous cardiologist Dr Neetu Mandke. He then quit the practice and started a factory to make stents needed to treat heart disease patients. Apart from that, he was fond of collecting various vintage cars, two-wheelers and buses.
