Pune: Fatal Trekking Incident Claims Life Of 52-Year-Old In Malshej Ghat
Junnar, 21st March 2023: A 52-year-old trekker from Nashik lost his life on Sunday in Malshej Ghat, identified as Kiran Kale. Pune rural police report that a group of around 20 trekkers from Nashik had gone on a trek from Malshej Ghat to Chordara Ghat when Kale accidentally fell from a cliff, resulting in his death.
The police have urged citizens to take necessary precautions while trekking and have issued directives regarding treks.
Family and friends of the deceased have been informed, and the police are identifying areas where such accidents are likely to occur.
