Pune: FDA Raids Adulterated Milk Products Factory In Pirangut, Products Worth Over Rs 10 Lakh Seized

Pune 14th Sept 2023: The Food and Drug Administration department officials raised Krishna Food Center located in the Pirangut area after receiving complaints about adulterated milk products. During this operation, a total of Rs 10,73,650 worth of adulterated milk products were confiscated. According to information provided by the police, it was revealed that Krishna Food Center, located near Pirangut area, was involved in selling and manufacturing of adulterated milk products and ice cream.

As per the report, the police and the Food and Drug Administration seized adulterated ice cream, skim milk powder, vegetable oil, and palm oil, totaling 10,73,650 rupees. Additionally, around two tons of ready-made ice cream that was seized during the raid was found to be unfit for consumption and had to be disposed of. Since the business was found to be in violation of rules and regulations, it has been ordered to shut down.

The adulterated food and other products produced from it, including sweets, snacks, sauces, and spices, were being sold in various places in the vicinity, said officials.
