Pune: Federation of Chakan Industries Hosts Training Program on Industrial Safety

Pimpri Chinchwad, 31st January 2025: The Federation of Chakan Industries (FCI), in collaboration with the Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (DISH), Pune, successfully conducted a full-day training program on industrial safety on January 29 at Hotel KalaSagar.

The event focused on critical safety topics, including robotic operation safety, power press safety, empowerment of managers in EHS legislation, and advanced safety practices in solar installations.

The training program witnessed an overwhelming response, with around 400 industry representatives from Western Maharashtra participating. Air Marshal Pradeep Bapat inaugurated the event, while FCI President Shiv Hari Halan was present as the chief guest.

Industry experts led insightful sessions, with V. Nikole speaking on power press safety precautions, Shrikant Soni discussing advanced safety practices in solar installations, A. B. Kharade emphasizing the empowerment of managers in EHS legislation, and Rahul Rokde highlighting safety measures in robotic operations.

Speaking about the initiative, FCI CEO Dilip Batwal said, “Industrial safety is a critical aspect of workplace management. Through such programs, we aim to create awareness and equip industries with best practices to ensure a safer working environment.”

A participant described the program as “very useful and insightful,” highlighting its relevance to modern industrial safety challenges. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Londhe, Deputy Director of DISH.

The FCI and DISH collaboration continues to play a key role in promoting workplace safety across industries in Western Maharashtra, contributing to accident prevention and fostering a safety-first culture in the region.
