Pune Feels the Heat: Temperatures Rise Sharply, IMD Predicts Further Increase

Pune, 30th January 2025: The city experienced a surge in temperatures as the maximum temperature rose by 1°C, crossing the 37°C mark. Koregaon Park recorded the highest temperature at 37.5°C, leading to intense heat throughout the day. The Pune division of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a further increase in temperatures over the next two days.

On Wednesday morning, Pune witnessed light fog and drizzle, but the minimum temperature also rose by 1°C to 2°C. Haveli recorded a low of 13.6°C, while areas like NDA, Shivajinagar, and Pashan saw minimum temperatures between 14°C and 15°C.

By the afternoon, temperatures soared above 35°C in areas such as Koregaon Park, Vadgaon Sheri, Dapodi, Shivajinagar, NDA, and Magarpatta, making the heat more pronounced.

IMD has predicted that the sky will remain partly cloudy for the next two days, with occasional fog and a possible rise in minimum temperatures.
