Pune: Fight Among Prisoners Breaks Out At Yerawada Jail; Police Constable Beaten Up
Yerwada, 9th November 2022: An incident has taken place in Pune’s Yerwada Jail where a police constable who went to settle a fight between five prisoners was beaten up with floor pieces and stones by those prisoners. The name of the beaten police constable is Hanumant Shrimant More.
According to the information given by the police, five prisoners namely Sameer Shakeel Sheikh, Tarang Rakesh Pardeshi, Nilesh Srikant Gaikwad, Purushottam Rajendra Veer and Deva Nanaso Jadhav were fighting near Barrack No 27 to 31 near Hospital Separate 7 of Yerwada Jail om Tuesday (November 8) morning.
When police constable Hanumant More came to know about the fight, the five prisoners beat him with pieces of floor and stones. In this incident, Hanumant Shrimant More got injured.
The incident is being further investigated by Sub-Inspector Ashok Kate of Yerwada Police Station.
