Pune: Filing Of Nominations For Kasba Peth, Chinchwad Constituencies To Begin Today

Pune, 31st January 2023: The process of filing nominations for Kasba Peth and Chinchwad Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the Pune district will start on Tuesday (31st January). The major parties have not yet decided on their candidates in these two constituencies.

Due to the death of MLA Mukta Tilak, the Kasba Peth seat has fallen vacant, while the seat of the Chinchwad assembly constituency has fallen vacant due to the death of MLA Laxman Jagtap. Election notification will be published on Tuesday.

The last day to file nominations is 7th February. Scrutiny of received candidate applications will be held on 8th February. 10th February is the last day to withdraw the nomination form. After that, voting will be held on 26th February and the counting of votes will be held on 2nd March.

Pune City District Officer Santoshkumar Deshmukh will be working as Election Returning Officer for Kasba Assembly Constituency. Nomination forms will be accepted at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch, while nomination forms for Chinchwad Legislative Assembly will be accepted at the C-Regional Office in Thergaon.

According to the district administration, Sachin Dhole, Deputy Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has been appointed as the election decision officer at this place.
