Pune: Seven Minors From Koyta Gang Escape From Remand Home In Yerwada

Yerwada, 31st January 2023: Seven minors belonging to the Koyta gang escaped from Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Industrial Center (remand home for juveniles) in Yerwada. The Yerwada police have registered a case against a goon who helped the minors escape.

 

A case has been registered against Saurabh Shivaji Waydande (18), a resident of Bhekrainagar, Hadapsar. Santosh Kisan Kumbhar (46) has filed a complaint at the Yerwada Police Station. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Industrial Center has its observation house in Yerwada. Juveniles who have committed serious crimes are kept in observation rooms by order of the Juvenile Justice Board.

Hadapsar police had taken action against seven minors creating terror in the Hadapsar area. After that, the minors were sent to the observation room at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Industrial Center on the orders of the Juvenile Justice Board. Minors climbed the boundary wall of the observatory using ladders and jumped over the wall.

 

A search is on for the escaped minors. Zone 4 DCP Rohidas Pawar visited the spot. A police sub-inspector is investigating the case.
