Pune: FIR Filed Against Builder In Wakad For Denying Timely Possession Of Flat

Wakad, 4th June 2021: Pimpri Chinchwad Police have booked a builder for allegedly not giving possession of a flat on time. An FIR for cheating has been registered at Wakad police station.

According to the police, complainant Nilkanth Waghmare of Thergaon had bought a flat in Laxmi Villa Society in Punawale developed by Wazarkar Associates. For this deal, Waghmare paid Rs 26.74 lakhs to the builder Umesh Wakode of Kiwale. The incident took place between October 2017 and June 2021.

However, the builder did not give the possession in time and tried to submit fake affidavits at the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) office with fake signatures of flat owners including Waghmare. Police are further investigating the case.
