Pune: FIR Filed Against Poona Golf Club Management After Journalist Injured by Golf Ball on Flyover

Yerawada, 2nd April 2025: The Pune Police have registered an FIR against the management of Poona Golf Club and an unidentified person after a journalist was injured by a golf ball near Golf Club Chowk flyover. Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke, in charge of Yerawada Police Station, confirmed the development.
The case has been filed under FIR number 228/2025 for offences under Section 125 (endanger human life or personal safety due to negligence or recklessness) of the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita (BNS) based on a complaint by Pranil Anil Kusale (35), a journalist residing in Yerawada.
According to the complaint, on March 29, 2025, at 5:10 PM, Kusale and his journalist friend Sandeep Bhatkar were riding a motorcycle from Gunjan Chowk to Yerawada Jail. As they reached the Golf Club Chowk flyover, a white golf ball from the Poona Golf Club ground struck Kusale on the chest, causing him injury.
Following the complaint, the Yerawada Police registered a case against the Poona Golf Club management and an unidentified person. Head Constable Reddy has been assigned as the investigating officer.
