Pune: Fire Breaks Out At Flat In Aundh DP Road, No Fatalities
Pune, 25th October 2022: A fire broke out in a four bhk flat on the first floor of a 12 storied building. Fire engines from Dala, Airdwana, Kasba, Kothrud and PMRDA and a water tanker completely extinguished the fire. As the amount of smoke was heavy, about 30-35 (children, women, elderly citizens) residents living above were safely taken to the terrace, wearing BA sets while fighting the fire.
After the fire was brought under control, a search was again conducted by the police. All 40 flat-holders residing in the place were located. The police and fire brigade officials together asked the residents of the society below and the residents of the terrace if they were all safe.
The flat was completely burnt in the fire. The eyewitnesses said that the fire was caused by firecrackers. Assistant Divisional Officer at the scene, Gadsaheb, four station officers, and 30-35 jawans were present.
Rajesh Jagtap was the first fire officer on the call.
