Pune: Fire Breaks Out at Office in Commerce Zone IT Park, No Casualties Reported
Yerwada, 7th September 2025: A fire broke out in an office on the sixth floor of the Yerwada Commerce Zone IT Park early Saturday morning at around 7.45 am.
Upon receiving a call, the fire brigade rushed to the spot and deployed hoses along with the permanent fire extinguishing system installed in the IT Park to douse the blaze. Fire tenders from Yerwada, Kharadi, Naidu, and Dhanori fire stations were pressed into service.
The fire was brought under control within half an hour, preventing it from spreading to other offices. However, all documents, furniture, electrical equipment, and other materials inside the affected office were destroyed.
Fortunately, there were no casualties or major injuries. One firefighter, Sonyadada Naidu from the Naidu Fire Station, sustained a leg injury during the operation.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
