When the fire brigade received a call regarding the fire, a vehicle was dispatched from Erandwane fire station. On reaching the spot, fire officer Rajesh Jagtap and the jawans took further action.

Reportedly, the fire broke out in the basement, ground floor and basement of the three-storey building at the said place. As soon as the fire brigade reached the spot, seeing the nature of the fire and smoke, additional help was called for.

After entering the basement, jawans started spraying water on the fire. But due to the lack of ventilation in the basement, there were difficulties in extinguishing the fire. With the help of fire engines from Erandwane, Kasba, Kothrud and a tanker from the central fire station along with three officers and fifteen jawans, the fire was brought under control in 45 minutes. After 10 minutes after the incident, the fire brigade successfully worked to remove the smoke and the fire was completely extinguished,
