Pune: Fire Damages Office of Pravin Masale Company in Hadapsar, No Casualties
Pune, 2nd April 2026: A fire broke out in an office on the second floor of a spice manufacturing company located in the Hadapsar industrial area on Wednesday, prompting a swift response from the fire brigade. No injuries were reported in the incident.
According to fire officials, the blaze erupted at the office of Pravin Masale Company, allegedly due to a short circuit. Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus (BA sets) entered the smoke-filled premises to carry out the rescue and firefighting operation.
Teams accessed the upper floor using both staircases and ventilated the area by opening windows to release dense smoke. The fire was brought under control before it could spread to other parts of the building, officials said.
The incident caused damage to office infrastructure, including air conditioning units, furniture, documents and other materials.
Firefighting units from Hadapsar, BT Kawade Road, Kalepadal and the central fire station were involved in the operation. Authorities said timely intervention helped prevent a major mishap.
