Pune: FIRs Registered Against 85 Citizens Curfew Violations In Two Days

Pune, 9th April 2021: Pune City Police have registered cases against 85 citizens for violating the curfew in two days. Also, penal action has been taken against 2,193 people for roaming around without masks.

Night curfew has been imposed on weekdays besides curfew from 6 pm on Friday to 7 am on Monday due to the increasing prevalence of coronavirus. For the first two days, the police explained to the people who were out in the evening. After that, action has been taken against those who roam around without any valid reason. Police have registered a case under Section 188 against 21 people on Monday night and 64 people on Tuesday night for violating the curfew.

Besides, between April 5 and 6, action has been taken against 1,041 and 1,152 people in 2,193 cases for not wearing the mask. On April 7, a total of 1265 people were fined.
