Pune: Flooded Road Cuts Off Access to Societies in Bhoirwadi, Hinjawadi Phase 3

Hinjawadi, 19th June 2025: Even moderate rainfall has once again exposed the fragile infrastructure in Bhoirwadi, Hinjawadi Phase 3, as the only road connecting four residential societies in the area has been flooded, forcing residents to wade through knee-deep water to commute.
The residents of Melange Residencies, Kohinoor Coral, and Fusion Tower are among those most affected. The road, already in a deteriorated condition, has become nearly impassable due to waterlogging, leaving hundreds of families stranded or struggling to cross safely.
“This isn’t even the worst of the monsoon yet, and our road is already under water. We’ve been raising this issue for months, but nothing has changed,” said a resident of Melange Residencies.
Despite repeated complaints to the local gram panchayat, residents allege that no concrete action has been taken to repair or upgrade the road infrastructure. The situation has become more dangerous with no proper drainage system in place to handle even moderate rainfall.
“We feel abandoned. It’s not just about inconvenience—this is a serious safety risk, especially for children and senior citizens,” added a resident of Kohinoor Coral.
With the monsoon expected to intensify in the coming days, residents are now demanding immediate intervention from local authorities to ensure accessibility and safety.
