Pune: Forest Department Succeeds In Bringing Four Leopard Cubs Back To Their Mother
Shirur, 21st March 2023: The Forest Department has succeeded in bringing back four leopard cubs found in a field at Savindane, taluka Shirur, safely to their mother.
Giving information about this, Manohar Mhasekar, Forest Range Officer of Shirur, said that four leopard cubs were found in a sugarcane field in Savindane’s Langhe plantation.
These cubs were one to 1.5 months old. They were kept in a basket in the same area they were found. On Monday night (20th March), the cubs’ mother came to the sugarcane field and took all her cubs again.
Foresters Ganesh Pawar, Rushikesh Lad, Hanumant Karkud, and Shaukat Sheikh carried out the task of bringing these cubs back to their mothers. Meanwhile, Mhasekar appealed to inform the Forest Department if cubs are found in anyone’s field in this area.
