Pune: Former Mayor’s Son Raped 33-Year-Old Woman At Gunpoint In Daund
Daund, 9th December 2022: The Pune rural police have informed that a case of rape has been registered against Wasim Sheikh, a resident of Kumbhargalli, Daund. He is the son of former mayor Badshah Sheikh.
Some family members including Badshah Sheikh and Wasim Sheikh have been arrested as a case of molestation, atrocity and beating have been registered against them.
It is understood that a case has been registered against five other members of Wasim Sheikh’s family for helping the accused.
According to the Daund police, the accused Wasim took a 33-year-old woman against her will to various places in the city and shot obscene videos of her at gunpoint. He also threatened to kill the family members and had physical relations with her. It has been mentioned in the complaint that the incident took place between December 19, 2011, to August 22, 2022.
Police are further investigating the case.
