Pune: Former Shiv Sena Corporator Bala Oswal Booked In Land Grabbing Case

Kondhwa, 26th June 2022: Pune city police have booked former Shiv Sena corporator Bala Oswal and four others for allegedly thrashing three women to evict them from their land.
The incident took place on Friday at Survey No. 656/09/01/01, adjacent to Chintamani Transport, on Gangadham Road.
Based on a complaint from Sushma Sunil Rithe (32), Kondhwa police station has registered FIR against Bala Oswal, Sumit Telang, Shahaji Ranadive, Sukeshni alias Rani Bansode.
According to the police, the complainant’s husband and brother-in-law had purchased a plot of land bearing survey number 656/09/01/01. The accused, Sumit Telang, started arguing over the land claiming that the land belonged to his father Dilip Telang.
On Friday, Sushma, her sister Neelima and mother Mukta Sakharam Kamble were at the land when Sumit Telang, Shahaji Ranadive and Sukeshni allegedly assaulted them. The accused Telang banged Sushma Rithe’s head against a wall of the house and injured her.
Corporator Oswal went to the spot and issued death threats to the complainant and attempted to evict her by reportedly claiming to have bought the land for Rs 30 lakh. Following this incident, Sushma lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. Police have booked the accused for offences under sections 324, 504, 506 and 34 of the IPC.
