Pune: Four Arrested In Murder Case, Victim Sent Accused Obscene Messages

Pune, 23rd August 2022: The Vidyapeeth Police have arrested four persons in connection with the murder of one of the accused’s brother-in-law, who harassed her by sending obscene messages.

 

 

Tushar Dilip Metkari (33), a resident of Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa, Vinod Vishnu Dupargude (34), a resident of Vadgaon Dhayari, Kiran Ankush Choudhari (43), a resident of Nanded Phata, and Asha Tushar Metkari (32), a resident of Keshav Nagar Mundhwa, have been arrested in the case.

 

 

 

The name of the deceased person is Mahadev Ganapati Dupargude. Two days ago, Mahadev Dupargude was found dead near Daripul on the Mumbai-Bangalore bypass. At that time, Dupargude was not identified. Therefore, the police circulated Dupargude’s picture on social media.

 

 

 

Dupargude’s brother, Vijay, then went to the police station and confirmed that Mahadev Dupargude, who was found dead, was his brother.

 

 

 

Reportedly, Mahadev was harassing accused Asha by sending obscene messages to her. Hence, the accused called him to the Dhayari area on Friday (August 19). He was then severely beaten. After that, his body was taken in a rickshaw to the Daripul area. The accused left the body in the bushes and ran away.

 

 

 

The police investigated and arrested the accused. Initially, the accused gave vague answers. Deputy Commissioner of Police Sagar Patil informed, while talking to reporters, that they confessed to the crime during the investigation.

 

 

 

Senior Police Inspector Jagannath Kalaskar, Assistant Police Inspector Amol Rasal, Sub-Inspector Nitin Shinde, Dheeraj Gupta, Gaurav Dev, Ankush Karche, Ashish Gaikwad, Mitesh Chormale, Abhinay Chaudhary, Ravindra Chippa, and others investigated and detained the accused.
